"King of Rhodes"
"King Of Rhodes" is the name of the new high-speed catamaran for the daily ferry connection between Rhodes and Marmaris, Turkey. The latest acquisition of the Aegean Maritime Company "Sea Dreams" has already been launched, connecting the two ports at a speed that limits the journey to just one hour.
The route runs daily, including the weekends, departing from the tourist port of Rhodes at 09:00hrs in the morning and arriving at the port of Marmaris at 10:00hrs. The return route for the "King Of Rhodes" starts at 17.00hrs from Marmaris and ends at the tourist port of Rhodes at 18.00hrs.
The "King Of Rhodes" is the only ship of a Greek shipping company that connects the two ports, has a capacity of 340 passengers and develops a maximum speed of 33 miles per hour. The shipowner Aegean Maritime Company "Sea Dreams" made sure that the new catamaran fully meets the modern needs of passengers, launching a boat that combines comfort, aesthetics and technology.
The "King Of Rhodes" routes will be continued until mid-November, serving both Rhodians and Marmaris residents who want to visit Rhodes.
The Aegean Maritime Company "Sea Dreams" currently employs 54 members of staff, exclusively Dodecanese citizens. Its maritime tradition dates back to the 1920s, a century ago, with its first vessels, owned by Mr. Paraskevas Kaka, departing from Kastelorizo, transporting people and goods to Kas in Turkey and to the other islands of the then Italian-occupied Dodecanese.
